The history panel lists the edit history of the current document, so you can review past changes and return to an earlier state. This guide explains the concept, how to use the panel, and what to watch out for.

Overview

Design work is iterative: widgets move, styles change, and screens get restructured. The document bar already offers Undo / Redo to step backward and forward through the edit history; the history panel exposes that same history as a list, so you can see what each step changed instead of undoing repeatedly without knowing why.

Use it to:

  • Review what changed and in which order, including changes made through the agent.
  • Locate the step you want to return to, rather than pressing undo repeatedly.
  • Understand the effect of a series of edits before exporting or generating code.

Edits made by the agent are ordinary document edits, so they enter the same history and are reviewed and reverted the same way. See Agent.

Usage

  1. Open the history panel.
  2. Read the entries from newest to oldest to see what each step changed.
  3. Return to an earlier state, either by selecting a history entry or by stepping with Undo / Redo in the document bar.
  4. Confirm the restored result on the canvas and in preview.

Attention points

  • Undo and redo are locked in preview mode, so the history is not navigable while previewing; return to edit mode first. See Toolbar.
  • Document history is not the agent Conversation history, which stores past chat sessions browsed from the agent panel's toolbar. Restoring a conversation does not restore document state, and vice versa. See Agent.
  • History covers document edits in the current session. Removing a project is irreversible and cannot be undone - history is not a backup. See Workspace.
  • Generated code is produced from the current design state; after restoring an earlier state, rebuild before trusting an open code view or an earlier export. See Codegen.
